The Operations & Transit Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and overseeing all operational and transit activities of the company. The role ensures efficient logistics coordination, transportation management, regulatory compliance, cost control, and service delivery excellence. The Manager drives operational strategy, optimizes performance, and ensures smooth coordination between departments to achieve organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

·         Develop and implement operational and transit strategies aligned with company goals

·         Establish performance targets and KPIs for operations and logistics functions

·         Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

·         Oversee transportation planning, routing, and fleet management

·         Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods/services

·         Monitor fuel usage, vehicle utilization, and maintenance schedules

·         Ensure compliance with local transportation laws and regulations

·         Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, finance, and HR departments

·         Ensure optimal resource allocation and operational cost control

·          Manage risk related to logistics, transport delays, and operational disruptions

·         Implement safety policies and operational procedures

·          Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching

·          Identify training and development needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Masters/bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Customs Clearance Certification

·         Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in operations or logistics management

  • At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role

·         Strong knowledge of logistics systems and fleet management

·         Strong leadership and team management skills

·         Excellent communication and negotiation skills

·         Problem-solving and analytical skills

·         High integrity and accountability
